Summary of Thesis Results: This thesis focuses on surveying and analyzing the current state of teaching and learning Vietnamese vocabulary for Cuban military cadets at the Military Science Academy (MSA). Based on theoretical and practical research, the thesis has achieved several outstanding results. First, the author has systematized the theoretical basis of teaching vocabulary in Vietnamese as a foreign language, especially in a military environment and for learners with a Spanish language background. Accordingly, the thesis delves into analyzing the characteristics of language acquisition as well as the common difficulties that Cuban military cadets encounter in the process of learning Vietnamese vocabulary, thereby identifying factors affecting learning effectiveness. Furthermore, the study also surveys the current state of training programs, curricula, faculty, facilities, and learning environment at the Military Academy of Science and Technology, thereby comprehensively reflecting the current context of teaching and learning Vietnamese vocabulary. Based on the collected analyses, the thesis proposes practical solutions from three perspectives: the school, faculty, and students. These solutions emphasize personalizing learning methods, enhancing practical activities, and effectively utilizing modern learning support tools. Finally, the author has developed a learning outcome assessment table and proposed appropriate assessment methods, contributing to improving the quality of Vietnamese language teaching for Cuban military students.

11. Practical Applications: The research results in this thesis can serve as a useful reference for lecturers and administrators at the Military Science Academy (MSA) in adjusting and designing Vietnamese language training programs to suit the characteristics, needs, and proficiency levels of international learners. Furthermore, the solutions and analyses in this thesis contribute to improving teaching methods, especially in teaching Vietnamese vocabulary to students with different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, such as Cuban military cadets.
