Within the framework of this thesis, the author explores, analyzes, and evaluates the current state of visual information on online newspapers in Vietnam, focusing on three types of visual information: infographics, images, and videos, from both a visual and informational perspective.

First, the author systematized the theoretical basis of visual information in online newspapers in Vietnam today, and at the same time built criteria for evaluating visual information based on two perspectives: informational and visual.

Accordingly, the thesis focuses on surveying two specific newspapers: Nhan Dan Online and VOV Online. After conducting a thorough survey, the author has provided an assessment of the actual situation on the two selected newspapers, pointing out the strengths as well as the limitations that still exist in the use of visual information.

Finally, the author raises several issues related to the production of visual information, and then proposes some solutions and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of visual information on online newspapers in Vietnam today. Although the proposed solutions are based on surveys, online newspapers still need constant responsiveness, innovation, and creativity to adapt to public tastes in the digital age.

The research findings in this thesis can serve as a reference for improving the quality of visual content on online newspapers in Vietnam. The criteria for evaluating infographics, photos, and videos from both visual and informational perspectives can provide a basis for designing and creating more engaging articles that suit current reader preferences, thereby enhancing the online reading experience for the public.
