10. Summary of thesis results:

Based on theoretical and practical research on depression in mothers with disabled children at the National Children's Hospital and some related factors, the results show that: The rate of depression in mothers with disabled children is 52.4%. Of which, mild depression accounts for 18.7%, moderate depression 30.6% and severe depression accounts for 4.9%. Some factors related to the depression of mothers are: Mother's education, occupation, family economic conditions, number of disabled children, mother's beliefs and some stress encountered in the past year.

11. Practical application:

The research results contribute to making specific recommendations to improve the quality of life of mothers with children with disabilities in general as well as contribute to improving the quality of rehabilitation for children with disabilities in a new aspect, which is to pay attention to the subjects of care and support for children with disabilities, supplementing and improving knowledge about mental health and rehabilitation for future teaching and scientific research.

12. Further research directions:

If we have the conditions and time, we will learn more about the needs of children with disabilities. Establish a community-based model of management and care for children with disabilities.

Based on theoretical and empirical research on depressive disorders in mothers have children with disabilities at the Vietnam National Children's Hospital and related factors, the results show that: Depression rate of mothers have children with disabilities was 52.4%. Inside that, mild depression accounted for 18.7%, moderate depression accounted for 30.6% and severe depression accounted for 4.9%. Some of the factors related to maternal depression are: Maternal education, occupation, family economic status, number of children with disabilities, beliefs of the mother, and some stresses encountered in the last one year

The research results contribute to make specific recommendations for improving the quality of life for the mothers who have children with disabilities as well as contribute to improving the quality of rehabilitation for children with disabilities in new respect. The focus is on primary care and support for children with disabilities, complement and enhance mental health and rehabilitation knowledge for future teaching and scientific research.

If we have better conditions and more available time, we will study more about the needs of children with disabilities. Set up the management model and take care of children with disabilities based on community's help.
