Depression is a fairly common illness in today's society. According to World Health Organization statistics, depression is the leading cause of illness worldwide, affecting more than 300 million people. Nearly 800,000 people die by suicide each year, making suicide the second leading cause of death among those aged 15 to 29. Due to its prevalence and severity, many studies have been conducted on this issue worldwide. Many studies in Vietnam indicate that using psychotherapy in conjunction with pharmacotherapy is highly effective and significant in preventing relapse of depression.
This study provides an overview of depressive disorders in adolescents. The author also focuses on evaluating and analyzing the psychological issues of a client diagnosed with depressive disorder exhibiting self-harming behavior. Intervention is conducted through online therapy using cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques with the aim of helping the client develop skills to manage emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Simultaneously, the study supports the client in enhancing self-worth, connecting with family and friends, and building a stable psychological foundation to cope with life's events.

This thesis outlines a process of evaluating, diagnosing, and intervening in a clinical case, from its inception to the achievement of two priority outcomes. The treatment plan is designed to help the client develop a stable psychological foundation and acquire preventative skills for various challenging situations.
The thesis focuses on the topic of depressive disorders in adolescents, and the research results will serve as a foundation for future research on depressive disorders in this age group in Vietnam.

Nearly 800,000 people die from suicide each year, suicide is second among the leading causes of death between the ages of 15 and 29 years old. Due to its popularity and seriousness, there have been many studies in the world on this issue. Many studies in Vietnam have shown that the use of psychotherapy in parallel with chemotherapy has a high therapeutic effect and is significant in preventing depression recurrence.
In this study, the author gives an overview of teenage depressive disorders. The author also focuses on assessing and analyzing the psychological problems of a client diagnosed with self-harming depressive disorder and conducting interventions using online therapy using receiving therapeutic techniques. consciousness - behavior with the desire to assist the client in acquiring emotional control, thought control and behavioral skills. At the same time, supporting clients to improve their personal values, connect with relatives and friends, thereby building a stable psychological foundation to cope with life events.
