10. Summary of thesis results:

This study aims to understand the current situation and impacts of social support on students with special circumstances (poor students, ethnic minorities and disabled students). From the perspective of social work, this is a group of disadvantaged students who need support to better integrate into the university environment and achieve the values ​​they expect.

The study will sketch a picture of the lives of students with special circumstances from living standards, difficulties, advantages in life and learning process at University, from finance to social integration.

At the same time, the study also describes, analyzes, and evaluates the current social assistance system for students with special circumstances at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi from the perspective of social work: the systematic nature of social assistance, the impact of that social assistance on life and study, and the level of suitability to the needs of the beneficiary group. The study also shows that current social assistance is only focused on cash assistance, other forms of assistance are not diverse, and there is no classification of each student group in the assistance. Therefore, the effectiveness of social assistance is still limited.

From the perspective of social work, especially emphasizing the suitability to the needs of students with special circumstances, the study will propose some solutions to improve the effectiveness of social assistance in particular and assistance for students with special circumstances in general.

11. Practical application: (if any)

With the above results, the topic will provide some scientific and practical arguments to analyze and evaluate the systematicity and effectiveness of social assistance for students in special circumstances.

From those scientific and practical bases, solutions to improve the effectiveness of social assistance for students with special circumstances at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi will be proposed in a more systematic way, in accordance with the reality and needs of this disadvantaged group of students. Improving the effectiveness of social assistance for students with special circumstances is to contribute to creating more resources for the group of students to study, contribute, and contribute to improving the quality of life of each individual in particular and the community in general.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:

This study aims at finding real situation as well as social influences to students with special circumstances (poor students, ethnic students and disabled students). Under social work view, they are students in disadvantageous position and need support to integrate with high education environment and gain the expected results.

This study also provides a picture about living of students with special circumstances at living standards, difficulties and advantages in their lives and study at university, financial problems as well as social integration.

In addition, this thesis describes, analyzes and evaluates the current social support system for students with special circumstances at University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi under social work including the systematic of social support, influence of social support to students' lives and study, the suitability with the need of received subjects. The study indicates that most of current social support is only financial issue but other types. Also, there is no classification of students when supporting; Therefore, they limit the effect of social support.

Under social work view, the study will suggest some solutions in attempt to improve the effect of social support in general as well as social support for students with special circumstances in particular.

12. Practical applicability, if any:

With the mentioned results, the study will provide scientific and real foundation for evaluating, analyzing on the systematic and effect of social support for students with special circumstances.

Based on the scientific and real foundation, solutions for improving effect of social support for students with special circumstances at University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi will be conducted more scientifically and appropriately with reality and need of this disadvantageous students group. Improving effect of social support for students with special circumstances will help students study as well as contribute to social development.
