The study was conducted on 250 subjects at the People's Police Academy. The research methods used in this study include: document research, questionnaire survey, interviews, and mathematical statistical data processing.

Self-assessment of personality qualities suitable for police work is the process by which police academy students recognize whether their personality qualities are suitable for the requirements of police work. Based on this, students can adjust their behavior to achieve better academic results.

Overall, students generally rate the necessary personality qualities for their profession quite highly. There is a correlation between the self-assessment of specific professional personality qualities and the field of study and the occupations of the parents of students at the People's Police Academy. Accordingly, students whose father or mother works in the police force tend to have significantly higher self-assessments of professional personality qualities compared to students whose parents work in other professions.
