The author recognizes that individual social work within the community is necessary given the current situation. Besides providing support, information, and connecting resources for the elderly, individual social work also includes psychological counseling and the use of skills to help the elderly solve their own problems, thereby developing their potential and restoring balance to their lives. Through this research, the author has found a method to support elderly people experiencing psychological crises, and the elderly in general, to return to a state of balance and reintegrate into daily life, living more happily and contentedly. NCT, who suffered from psychological crisis, received support from social workers, family, friends, and the community to overcome psychological trauma and regain faith in life.
