The research process has investigated the current awareness of adolescent girls about reproductive health care such as: understanding of physiological changes in girls' bodies when they reach adulthood; understanding of correct and safe sexual relations; understanding of contraceptive methods and family planning; understanding of knowledge about safe motherhood. They all have incorrect awareness about reproductive health care. Due to not receiving guidance from adults, their body hygiene behavior is still limited, they are not aware of taking care of their bodies every day. Factors affecting the reproductive health care of girls include socio-demographics, information access channels, ethnic customs and practices. They have a need to learn about knowledge and share about reproductive health of adolescent girls.

Thereby, the thesis goes into studying the implementation of the role of social workers in improving reproductive health care skills for adolescent girls. Because there are no official social workers in schools, the thesis emphasizes the implementation of the part-time role of non-professional social workers in the community such as school teachers, village midwives, commune health workers when performing the role of educators, resource connectors, consultants, and facilitators. The role of non-professional social workers has also been performed by teachers when students encounter difficulties. Although there is no clear awareness in performing the role, what teachers do when helping students has partly demonstrated those roles. The thesis also goes into studying the subjective and objective factors affecting the implementation of the role of social workers.

The thesis also makes recommendations to help with reproductive health care for adolescent girls in Nam Cuong commune in particular and Cho Don district in general, to ensure their right to the best reproductive health care.
