+ In terms of theory: the thesis has systematized and clarified a number of concepts related to the issue of poverty such as: the concept of hunger, poverty; poverty standards; clarifying the content of barriers in hunger eradication and poverty reduction; hunger eradication and poverty reduction policies; causes and impacts of poverty on socio-economic development; goals and poverty eradication and poverty reduction policies of the state.

+ In terms of practice: the thesis points out the barriers encountered in the process of implementing the poverty reduction policy in Vo Nhai district and proposes solutions to overcome these barriers in the coming time.

- The research results of the thesis can be a source of documents to help the government of Vo Nhai district have scientific bases to have measures to improve the effectiveness of implementing the poverty reduction policy in the locality in the next period.
