The research results have shown that most secondary school students are facing certain difficulties. These are difficulties in psychological problems of their age such as lack of knowledge about reproductive health, difficulties in relationships with friends, teachers, family, and difficulties in studying. Among these difficulties, difficulties in studying are the most common difficulties that students encounter, the level of difficulty in problems between student grades is also different, so the expectation of help, although there are similarities in form, location, time, but there are differences in the desire to help with each specific problem. Social work support activities are not only for students with special circumstances, individual students but also for good students who are obedient and under pressure to study.

Faced with the difficulties that secondary school students encounter, they have their own ways of coping to solve their problems. However, these solutions are not as effective as they expect. Currently, the school also has extracurricular activities and life skills training sessions to help with some of the difficulties that students encounter. However, these forms of assistance are not professional, empirical and tend to impose, so they have not yet received enthusiastic participation from students. From there, the study also showed that the need for professional social work activities in schools is expected by students to be very high, expressed through the need for the school to have a "trusted place" with the presence of an "expert" to help them.

Future professional social workers as well as school principals, homeroom teachers, and Youth Union officials play a very important role in eliminating the difficulties that secondary school students face. Therefore, it is necessary to promote professional social work in schools.
