10. Summary of thesis results:
- The rate of graduates after 2 to 4 years of 8 training majors who have jobs that generate income for themselves at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is quite high. In particular, the time to find jobs for the majority of the school's alumni is quite early (less than 1 year).
- The current jobs of alumni are in line with their majors. This is also a new signal in the context of social sciences not really being respected in the current labor market. Some students still do jobs"wrong field, wrong profession"because of the desire to find a more suitable job or because of the individual's passivity affecting the job search process. Employees (former students) value factors outside the individual (relationships with colleagues and facilities at the workplace) more than factors closely related to themselves (salary, promotion potential).
- The two skills that alumni consider most necessary are: Office IT skills and foreign language skills. Alumni have realized the important role of IT and English proficiency in their job search process.
11. Practical application:
The thesis can be a reference for students and graduate students majoring in sociology and social work when researching the employment situation and solutions to improve students' job opportunities.
12. Further research directions:
Continue to learn more about the employment situation and solutions to improve students' job opportunities, so that this topic can be further developed at the doctoral level.
