Through the process of surveying the actual Vu Lan Bon festival season in Thua Thien Hue province, combined with the documents found to write the thesis, the author obtained the following results: Preliminary understanding of the development of Buddhism in Thua Thien Hue province through the Vu Lan Bon Buddhist festival in Thua Thien Hue province.
Analyze the origin and content of Vu Lan Bon festival in tradition and Vu Lan festival in Hue today. Thereby, it shows the changes in the festival over time, the common points in Vu Lan festival nationwide and the typical characteristics of Vu Lan Bon festival of Buddhism in Thua Thien Hue province. Learn about the rituals held in Vu Lan Bon festival, as well as some rituals held during Vu Lan festival season in Thua Thien Hue province and from there point out the meaning of those rituals.
Point out the material and spiritual values as well as clarify some shortcomings of the Vu Lan festival season in Thua Thien Hue today, thereby proposing solutions to overcome or at least minimize those shortcomings.
11. Practical application:
The thesis will be a document for the religious management board in Thua Thien Hue province to have a basis to better understand the meaning, origin, development, and organization of the Buddhist Vu Lan Bon festival here. The shortcomings of the Vu Lan Bon festival here, refer to the solutions in the thesis to overcome them, from which more appropriate management policies can be proposed.
The thesis can be a source of reference for further research on Vu Lan festival as well as Vu Lan festival in Thua Thien Hue province in the future. The thesis is also a reference document for Buddhist monks to better understand Vu Lan Bon festival as well as the rituals they practice every year during Vu Lan Bon festival. Thereby, they can adjust themselves and their followers to minimize the shortcomings during the festival season.

Continue to study more deeply the rituals in the thesis, from the way of performing (language, behavior, gestures, costumes...) and clarify the meaning of each step of implementation. Continue to study the chants, sutras, mantras,... in the rituals and from there learn the messages conveyed in them to the followers, relating it to the teachings of Buddhism. Continue to learn about Buddhism in Thua Thien Hue Province as well as Buddhist rituals here. Find the changing characteristics of the rituals from the past to the present and from there predict the direction of change of those rituals in the future.

Through the actual survey of Vu Lan festival in Thua Thien Hue province and some materials found to write the thesis, the writer obtained the following results:
Preliminary study the development of Buddhism in Thua Thien Hue province through the Vu Lan Buddhist festival in Thua Thien Hue province.
Analyzing the origin and content of Vu Lan holidays in the tradition and current Vu Lan holidays in Hue. Thereby, the changes in the festival over time, the unified common points of the Vu Lan festival national and the typical features of the Vu Lan festival of Buddhism in Thua Thien Hue province.
Find out about the rituals held during Vu Lan, as well as some of the rituals held during the Vu Lan festival season in Thua Thien Hue province and then show the significance of those rituals.
Indicates material values, the spirit as well as to clarify some inadequacies of the Vu Lan in Hue festival today, which sets out the measures to overcome or at least mitigate the inadequacies that come minimum.

The thesis will be a document for the religious administration in Thua Thien Hue province to have a basis to better understand the meaning, origin of formation, development, and the way to hold Buddhist Vu Lan ceremony here. Continue to learn about Buddhism in Thua Thien Hue province as well as Buddhist rituals here. Find the changing characteristics of the rituals up to now, and then predict the direction of change of those rituals in the coming time.
