Summary of thesis results: From the research results of the topic "Applying individual social work in supporting women who have experienced gender-based violence at Peace House", the author investigated the current situation and characteristics of women who are victims of gender-based violence (GV) and the problems they are facing within the scope of the Peace House. The research results show that there are still many difficulties in providing support services for women, especially legal support services. The author finds that individual social work (CSW) is an appropriate and necessary intervention method for this situation. CSW provides psychological counseling, knowledge, and skills guidance so that women know how to mobilize resources, and maximize their potential to solve and cope with their own problems. The topic is the basis for applied research, as well as shows the importance and urgency of applying CSW to support women who are victims of gender-based violence.

Practical applicability (if any): Results of the topic "Applying individual social work in supporting women who have experienced gender-based violence at Peace House" can be used as a reference for students to learn how to apply the individual social work model in supporting women who are victims of gender-based violence during their studies as well as in practice. In addition, the topic has proposed a number of solutions from the practical application of individual social work for women from the practice of Peaceful House to contribute to providing more experiences and solutions for the process of supporting women who are victims of gender-based violence in Vietnam.

Summary of the findings of the thesis: From the research's outcomes of“Applying case work in working with women subjected to gender-based violence at Peace House Shelter – PHSwriter has found the facts and features of women subjected to gender based violence (GBV) and issues they have faced in PHS. The research has pointed out the challenging in providing services for its temporary residents, particularly legal aid. The writer recognizes case work is essential and appropriate in this situation. The case work provides counseling, information, developing skills and introducing tools so women will make their own decisions in dealing with their problems, thus to show their potential.

This project is the foundation for case work research in working with women subjected to GBV, as well as showing its importance and urge in applying case work in supporting them.

In addition, the research has also given recommendations based on working experience with residents at PHS to contribute to case studies and solutions and best practices in working with women suffered to GBV in Vietnam.
