Summary of the findings of the thesis:
Based on the general overview of Giang Thanh district and Buddhism in Giang Thanh district, the thesis analyzes the characteristics of Giang Thanh district’s Buddhism which is associated with the history of formation of Giang Thanh district, following the Buddhist tradition of Kien Giang province. However, with the characteristics of a border district, Buddhism here also faces many difficulties.
The thesis analyzes the current situation of social charity activities of Buddhism in Giang Thanh district in terms of forms of activities, and achievements. The thesis also analyzes several problems, and makes some recommendations to further improve the effectiveness of social charity activities of Buddhism in Giang Thanh district.
