10. Summary of thesis/project results:
The thesis “Children’s Communication Management of UNICEF in Vietnam” was conducted to study and evaluate the children’s communication management activities of UNICEF in Vietnam, especially focusing on the “Green Heart” campaign. The main objective of the thesis is to propose solutions to improve the effectiveness of communication management, contributing to the protection and promotion of children’s rights.
Chapter 1 presents the theoretical and practical basis of communication management, communication activities, and NGOs. The author defines and clarifies important concepts such as management, communication, communication activities, and communication plan management. In addition, this chapter also discusses the situation of communication about children in Vietnam and factors affecting communication plan management of NGOs, along with criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of communication management about children of NGOs.
Chapter 2 delves into the current state of UNICEF’s communication management through the “Blue Heart” campaign. The author introduces UNICEF and the campaign, then analyzes factors such as branding, budget, human resource management, and communication effectiveness evaluation. This chapter studies in detail the organization’s branding, budget for communication activities, human resource management, and communication effectiveness evaluation of the “Blue Heart” campaign. At the same time, the author also evaluates the level of interaction and social impact of the campaign.
Chapter 3 presents issues and solutions to improve the quality of communication management of UNICEF in Vietnam. From the research and assessment in Chapter 2, the author proposes specific solutions such as diversifying communication methods, strengthening human resource and budget management, and promoting communication activities on new channels.
The thesis concludes that UNICEF’s communication management for children in Vietnam through the “Blue Heart” campaign has achieved positive results, but there are still limitations that need to be overcome. The solutions proposed in the thesis not only help improve the effectiveness of the communication campaign but can also be applied to other non-governmental organizations in Vietnam to protect and promote children’s rights more effectively.
