Summary of thesis results: The thesis has gathered and analyzed relevant primary and secondary sources to clarify the content regarding the development of Saigon's urban culture (1955-1975) before the influence of cinema, a topic that had not been systematically and comprehensively studied before.
In Saigon during the period 1955-1975, cinema underwent a process of development with many ups and downs, closely related to the contemporary political and social situation. Through an analysis of the penetration of foreign cinema, the development of domestic cinema, and the policies of the Republic of Vietnam government towards cinema in this city, this thesis points out the influence of this art form on Saigon culture (1955-1975) in the following aspects: the influence of foreign films on domestic cinema; the influence of cinema on other art forms in Saigon; and the influence of cinema on the lifestyle and ideology of Saigon's citizens.
11. Practical Applications: The research results of this thesis provide a relatively systematic understanding of the influence of cinema on the development of Saigon's urban culture during the period 1955-1975. In addition, the thesis contributes to supplementing and enriching the source materials for research on the history of cinema in Saigon before 1975 in particular and the history of Saigon's urban culture in general.

In Saigon during the period 1955-1975, cinema had a process of movement and development with many ups and downs, closely related to the contemporary socio-political situation. Through the analysis of the penetration of foreign cinema, the development of domestic cinema and the policy of the government of the Republic of Vietnam towards cinema in this urban area, the thesis has shown the influence of this art on Saigon culture (1955-1975) in such aspects as: the influence of foreign films on domestic cinema; the influence of cinema on other arts in Saigon; the influence of cinema on the lifestyle and thought of Saigon people.

Practical applicability, if any: The research results of the thesis provide a relatively systematic awareness of the influence of cinema on the movement and development of Saigon urban culture in the period 1955-1975.
