10. Summary of the thesis results:
This thesis systematically examines general theoretical issues regarding the dissemination of information on protecting maritime sovereignty in print media. It presents several concepts and definitions related to the topic, such as information and protection of maritime sovereignty, as well as the characteristics and strengths of print media. The author also introduces the position and role of Vietnam's maritime territories and islands, and the views of the Party and State on maritime issues. Information dissemination on maritime territories has become a key task in the state management of seas and islands in Vietnam. In particular, the illegal placement of China's HD 981 oil rig in Vietnam's continental shelf from May 2nd, 2014 to July 17th, 2014, has made the situation in Vietnam's maritime territories extremely tense. Under the leadership of the Party, and the guidance and direction of central agencies, ministries, and localities, the work of disseminating information about the sea and islands has been implemented quite strongly and widely, reaching all strata and age groups in society, and has achieved remarkable results.
The Vietnamese press has demonstrated its role by devoting all its efforts to the information front. Mass media outlets have actively participated in disseminating information on the Party's guidelines, policies, and strategies regarding the sea and islands. News articles, reports, features, and television programs about the sea and islands are appearing more and more frequently across various media platforms. With rich content and diverse forms of expression, the press has contributed to a strong shift in people's awareness of the position, role, and potential of the sea and islands in the socio-economic development of the country.
Based on that theoretical framework, the thesis continues to analyze and evaluate the current state of information dissemination on protecting maritime sovereignty in Nhan Dan Newspaper, Khanh Hoa Newspaper, and Thanh Nien Newspaper from May 2011 to May 2014. From surveying the content and form of information on protecting maritime sovereignty in these newspapers, it can be seen that Nhan Dan Newspaper, Khanh Hoa Newspaper, and Thanh Nien Newspaper have made significant contributions to disseminating information on protecting maritime sovereignty, raising public awareness, and changing their actions regarding maritime issues. Each newspaper has established its own unique position in providing information on protecting maritime sovereignty: one is a central newspaper, one is a local newspaper, and one is a newspaper of a mass organization.
Based on the survey results and the analysis mentioned above, this thesis proposes several solutions to enhance the effectiveness of information in journalism in general and print media in particular.
11. Practical applications:
In practical terms, with these initial research results, the author of this thesis hopes to contribute more authentic data and a narrower perspective on a problem within the rich and dynamic practice of journalism.
12. Future research directions:
Besides the results analyzed and mentioned above, the thesis still has certain limitations and shortcomings, such as: The storage of information and documents made the author's survey very difficult and not as successful as desired, leading to difficulties in systematically researching and evaluating information. In addition, the author's own level of expertise is still limited, especially in understanding the current state of information on protecting maritime sovereignty and islands, and lacking experience in scientific research.

12. Further study orientation:
Aside from the results as above, the thesis still has undeniably drawbacks such as: Difficult access to information and documentation storage makes it hard for the author to research and find proper information. This also causes problem when searching and assessing the information collected. On the other hand, the author's ability also has certain limits as he or she does not have enough sufficient knowledge about the current situation of maritime dispute and lacks of research experience.
