Thesis is an interesting research and a practical signification in order to elucidate the face of Hanoi streets in general and Trang Tien – Hang Khay – Trang Thi streets in particular in a historical period of the capital.
The thesis presents an actual state of architectures, the landscape changes of some cultural and historical monuments of Hanoi.
The thesis is based on some documents and archives, especially documents in land registry, so as to bring forward the explanation about these changes of Hanoi in general and Trang Tien – Hang Khay – Trang Thi streets in particular compared with those in previous periods, and bring out the French's influence towards Hanoi' urbanization in modern period.
The thesis has reference value and enriches the research on Hanoi streets in particular and Hanoi in general whereby it makes a great contribution to the construction and planning of the city in modern time.
