11. Summary of the thesis results:
United Nations peacekeeping forces are specialized forces established by the United Nations, tasked with organizing and conducting activities necessary to fulfill the UN's function of maintaining world peace and security. Studying UN peacekeeping forces, particularly in the post-Cold War era in various regions, firstly, helps the author gain a certain understanding of the situation of conflicts and wars around the world, thereby providing an overview of the context and current state of peace and security in our world today. In addition, the thesis has researched and clarified three main issues of scientific significance as follows:
Firstly, clarify some instances of intervention by United Nations peacekeeping forces in various countries and regions. From this, identify the achievements as well as the remaining weaknesses of these forces. Based on the achievements, we can assess the development and role of United Nations peacekeeping forces in world peace and security from the end of the Cold War to the present day.
Secondly, this paper proposes some observations on the future development trends of United Nations peacekeeping forces. These observations are based on the challenges posed in the new global context. In light of these challenges, peacekeeping forces will undoubtedly need to adapt in order to continue maintaining their leading role in protecting and maintaining global peace and security for the United Nations.
Thirdly, the study clarifies Vietnam's participation in United Nations peacekeeping forces, including the preparation process in terms of practical and theoretical foundations, human and material resources, and the activities undertaken. Analyzing Vietnam's preparation for participation in UN peacekeeping forces highlights the efforts, goodwill, and enthusiasm of our country in fulfilling the shared responsibility of maintaining and protecting world peace. In addition to providing a general assessment of the current international integration of the Vietnamese People's Army, the study also allows us to evaluate our potential for integration in the next phase and in the future.
Although the research issues addressed in this thesis have been tackled by several leading military researchers and experts, the author believes that the results of this thesis, with its different approach and unique research objectives, will have significant implications.
12. Future research directions:
Along with the vigorous development of all humanity, the United Nations in general and the UN peacekeeping forces in particular will undoubtedly continue to develop. Research on these forces in the present and with a vision towards 2020 is a feasible research direction with significant theoretical implications for the future.
Currently, Vietnam is actively working towards joining the United Nations peacekeeping forces. This is only the beginning of the process. Therefore, research on Vietnam's participation in UN peacekeeping forces, and the prospects and challenges Vietnam faces in international integration in the military field, is a research direction that the author will definitely pursue if circumstances permit.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
United Nations Peacekeeping Force (UNPF) is dedicated to assisting United Nation (UN) in the efforts to maintain international peace and security. Understanding about UNDF at different conflict regions in the world, helps the author to get useful knowledge related to situation of conflict between countries and regions, by which to get an overview of the context and the current state of peace and security all over the world. On the other way, there are 3 main ideas which contain great scientific meaning.
Firstly, the thesis explains some cases of interceding from UNPF to some countries and regions where conflict and local war occur. That is base to abstract achievements and success as well as weakness of UNPF. With achievements, the author can use to evaluate the development and important role of UNPF for peace and security in the world after Cold war.
Secondly, the author proposed some comments about development trend of UNPF in the future. The comments have been built on the base of issues raised in the new context of globalization today.
Last but not least, the thesis tried to clarify the participation to UNPF of Vietnam, including the theoretical preparation and legal basis, human resources and finance as well as current operations. Analyzing the process of participation to UNPF of Vietnam could set off effort, good will and enthusiasm of our country in general liability to maintain peace and security. Besides getting overview about international integration in the defense sector of Vietnam, the thesis also creates premise to evaluate the integration capability of our country in time coming.
Although the contents that thesis navigated are implemented by several researchers and leading experts in the field of military, with other approaches and individual research objectives, the author believes that the results of thesis contain certain meaning.
12. Further research directions:
Along with the strong movement and development of humanity, the UN in general and the UNPF in particular will certainly develop finally. Researching about UNPF at present and in vision to 2020 is a consideration research with considerable scientific significance in the future.
Today, Vietnam is actively navigating to join in UNPF. The achievement at present is the first step of the process. So, research about the participation process of Vietnam to UNPF, opportunities and challenges of Vietnam when conducting international integration in the military is needed to have the further research.
