10. This research topic investigates the current situation of postpartum women, highlighting their psychological and physiological difficulties. It identifies their practical needs and the current state of addressing these difficulties. Families and communities still have limited awareness of postpartum psychological and physiological care, which is why women often suffer in silence. Social work, especially counseling, plays a crucial and necessary role in helping postpartum women overcome this difficult period. Besides women currently experiencing a crisis, those who have already achieved self-balance or have received counseling (formal or informal) beforehand still need further counseling.

11. Practical applications:

The research findings emphasize the essential role of social work, especially counseling, for postpartum women experiencing psychological distress. Social work needs to develop a counseling model that combines counseling with obstetricians to ensure an effective counseling process aimed at preventing, treating, and improving the well-being of women facing psychophysiological changes and psychological crises.

12. Future research directions:

1. Women are recognized in social work as one of the vulnerable groups requiring attention. Research on mental health for women during the transitional period of life, particularly after childbirth, is extremely important and necessary today.

Research proposal:Some suggestions for developing a counseling model for women during pregnancy and postpartum in maternity hospitals.

2. The psychological challenges a woman faces after childbirth are greatly influenced by her own ecosystem, especially her husband and family. Receiving care and support from her husband and family members will help her balance her emotions and navigate this period more smoothly.
