Summary of the thesis results: Chapter 1: Provides an overview of some important theories related to the topic, such as the subject, formal subject, role, function, and basic characteristics of formal subjects in Chinese and Vietnamese. Chapter 2: Introduces and identifies sentence types using formal subjects in Chinese based on rich linguistic data. Simultaneously, we have compared the translation of formal subjects from Chinese to Vietnamese (in several literary works with Vietnamese translations).

At the same time, we have compared the way of translating formal subjects from Chinese into Vietnamese (in some literary works with Vietnamese translations).
