10. Summary of thesis results:
Applying the historical poetics research method, the thesis studied 4 plays by L.Tolstoy belonging to the genres of drama and comedy. L.Tolstoy's plays were examined from two reference points: (1) in relation to the writer's creative system, from direct statements of the concept of drama to the expression of that concept in prose writing, specifically in epic novels.War and Peaceand (2) in relation to the Russian and European dramatic traditions. From these two reference points, the thesis has explained the “bridge genre” characteristics of L. Tolstoy’s drama as the inheritance of some principles of folk, ancient, Shakespeare, Schiller drama, with the combination of lyrical, psychological, symbolic-philosophical factors.

Contribute experience in applying the historical poetics approach to determine the value of L.Tolstoy's artistic discoveries in a genre that has not been studied in his artistic legacy.

Applying research methodology historical poetics, essays.
