- The thesis researches the behavioral culture of love, marriage, especially love, marriage in Vietnamese folk songs because it is an existential issue, raising many concerns in real life. Folk songs about free love, about the right to live of people, especially women, folk songs demanding justice, fighting against oppression and injustice are all very skillful ways of behaving of the ancients to demand the right to speak up. Surveying folk songs about love, marriage will help people today discover the treasure trove of behaviors of the ancients in the face of eternal problems. It is also an academic way of doing things and for the sake of academics.

- The thesis has gone through the process of examining folk songs to discover what is reflected inside. Folk songs often use metaphors, comparisons, metonymies, wordplay..., especially folk songs about love. This is because in ancient times, under the influence of Confucianism, love was not expressed directly but was always expressed in a subtle and skillful way. Therefore, going deep into folk songs about love, people of the time also learned how to use words, how to form sentences and how to express themselves very academically but still very simply. In addition, folk songs about love and marriage of Vietnamese people in the South and the North are not completely the same. At different ages, people also express their feelings in different ways. Therefore, reading folk songs, we understand more about the ways of behaving and the cultural beauty of each region in the country. But in general, folk songs about love and marriage, regardless of region or age, are a treasure trove of ancient people's behavior that needs to be studied. All of them will recreate the spiritual life of ancient people.

- The thesis studies the behavioral culture of love and marriage, especially love and marriage expressed in Vietnamese folk verses because this is an existential nature, posing a variety of concerns in our real life. Those folk verses about free love, the right to live of human beings, especially those of women's; The folk verses which demand justice and struggle against oppression and injustice are very skillful behavior of the ancient people to claim their voices heard.

Conducting the survey on Vietnamese folk verses about love and marriage helps present people explore the treasure of ancient behavior toward forever problems. It is also an anonymous way for academic and scholarly purposes.

- Through the survey of popular Vietnamese folk verses about love and marriage, hidden messages have been discovered because metaphor, comparison, metonymy, and paronomasia are usually used, especially in folk verses about love.
