- This thesis studies the cultural aspects of love and marriage, particularly in Vietnamese folk songs, as these are existential issues that raise many concerns in real life. Folk songs about free love, the right to life of human beings, especially women, and those demanding fairness and resistance against oppression and injustice are all skillful ways in which our ancestors demanded the right to have their voices heard. Examining folk songs about love and marriage will help present-day readers discover the treasure trove of our ancestors' approaches to these timeless issues. This is also an academic approach, and one that is for the sake of academics.
- This thesis explores the underlying themes reflected in folk songs through a survey of folk poetry. Folk songs frequently employ metaphors, similes, metonymy, wordplay, and other evocative language, especially those about love. This is because, in the past, under the influence of Confucianism, love was not expressed directly but always subtly and skillfully. Therefore, by delving into folk songs about love, people of that era learned sophisticated yet simple ways of using words, constructing sentences, and expressing ideas. Furthermore, folk songs about love and marriage in the South and North of Vietnam are not entirely the same. People of different ages express their feelings in different ways. Therefore, reading folk songs helps us understand the behaviors and cultural beauty of each region across the country. In summary, folk songs about love and marriage, regardless of region or age group, are a treasure trove of ancient customs and behaviors that deserve study. They will all help to recreate the spiritual life of people in the past.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
- The thesis studies the behavioral culture of love and marriage, especially love and marriage expressed in Vietnamese folk verses because this is an existential nature, posing a variety of concerns in our real life. Those folk verses about free love, the right to live of human beings, especially those of women's; The folk verses which demand justice and struggle against oppression and injustice are very skillful behavior of the ancient people to claim their voices heard.
Conducting the survey on Vietnamese folk verses about love and marriage helps present people explore the treasure of ancient behavior toward forever problems. It is also an anonymous way for academic and scholarly purposes.
- Through the survey of popular Vietnamese folk verses about love and marriage, hidden messages have been discovered because metaphor, comparison, metonymy, and paronomasia are usually used, especially in folk verses about love. This is because in ancient times under the influence of Confucianism, love was not directly expressed, but was always said in a tactful and clever way. Therefore, studying deeper into the folk verses about love, contemporary people learn how to use words, sentences and expressions in an academic, but still very simple way.
