This thesis introduces to readers the calendar and agricultural calendar of the Black Thai people in Son La province - a unique cultural creation of this ethnic group. Studying this calendar helps to see the vitality of the traditional Thai calendar in the impact of economy, society, in the cultural exchange and acculturation with other ethnic groups.
12. Practical application:
Along with the trend of integration and change of cultural identity, the traditional calendar of the Thai people is gradually fading away and is no longer used as often as before. Researching and introducing the traditional Thai calendar will help preserve a cultural heritage of the ethnic group, helping the Thai calendar not to be lost in modern life.
13. Further research directions:
It is necessary to continue studying this thesis on a broader level, not only studying the calendar of the Black Thai people in Son La but also the Thai people in the Northwest region of Vietnam.
