Employment plays a crucial role in social life, directly influencing and shaping the entire lives of individuals. This study aims to explore the current employment situation of young people in Phu Binh district. The majority of young people in the district are employed, and their jobs are diverse. While the income of most young people in the study area is relatively high, their working hours are mostly over 8 hours per day, and working conditions are poor. The main reasons for their current jobs are that they align with their expertise, abilities, interests, and personal needs. Most young people are satisfied with their current work and have little desire to change jobs. Of those who are unemployed, nearly half have previously worked. Their preferred sector is primarily the public sector, with a significant proportion choosing jobs in joint ventures. In addition to socio-demographic characteristics such as age, gender, and educational level, factors such as social capital, family circumstances, and local policies and mechanisms also have a certain influence on youth employment in the research area.
