10. Summary of project results:
The study presented an overview of information on depressive disorders, including a review of studies and epidemiological data from around the world and in Vietnam, and studies on psychological interventions for this disorder. Basic issues on depressive disorders including concepts, theoretical approaches to depressive disorders, clinical characteristics, diagnostic criteria according to DSM 5, assessment and intervention methods were also mentioned in the study. In addition, the study also provided a description of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), its applications, and therapeutic techniques in the intervention of depressive disorders.
The results of the intervention showed that after the intervention sessions, the clients had reduced symptoms of depressive disorders, stopped self-harming behaviors when experiencing negative emotions, were able to apply techniques to manage stress, formed healthy living habits and increased useful activities. By changing their behaviors, the clients also initially recognized the impact of irrational beliefs and replaced them with more useful beliefs.

Practical applicability: From the results obtained in the process of theoretical research and practical clinical intervention, the thesis has contributed more evidence for the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral approaches in intervening symptoms of depressive disorders. At the same time, the limitations and recommendations of the thesis also provide more information for practitioners to learn lessons to increase the effectiveness of future treatments.
