Son Luong commune currently has 4/6 hamlet clusters practicing the Dong Xen - Thieng Cong worship of the Thai people, including Giong, Se, Lam hamlets (the names of the old administrative units) that still maintain the most unique practice. The Dong Xen - Thieng Cong worship has many roles in community life such as: the role of traditional education; community consolidation; meeting the spiritual needs of the community; maintaining the traditional social structure... existing in community life today. State management of culture in general and beliefs in particular is an extremely complex and sensitive field, so the issue of managing the Dong Xen - Thieng Cong worship activities in Son Luong commune is in great need of attention. The thesis has established a scale table, and conducted a field survey on the actual management situation in the locality to assess whether the current status of local belief and culture management is good or not. Through the scale and actual survey, it shows that cultural management from the grassroots to local levels still has many shortcomings. In terms of policies and guidelines, it is complete and good. However, when observing the reality of the management of beliefs and culture at the local level, it is still loose, indifferent and left to the community, not really promoting the function and role of management of local culture. The thesis contributes a number of solutions to improve local cultural management of beliefs and will also be a source of documents to serve the research work on Thai beliefs in Son Luong commune and reference documents on state management of culture.
