- The thesis has compiled and summarized theoretical studies on verbs to build a theoretical framework for research.
- Describe and analyze the structure of Portuguese and Vietnamese verb phrases.
- Comparing the central, initial, and final parts of Portuguese and Vietnamese verb phrases.
- Compare and contrast the elements at each position in the structure of Portuguese-Vietnamese verb phrases.
- To identify similarities and differences between Portuguese and Vietnamese verbs to facilitate the teaching and learning of Portuguese for Vietnamese speakers, and Vietnamese for native Portuguese speakers.

- From the above thesis, we construct a general structure of verb phrases in the two languages, identifying similarities and differences in this structure to avoid language interference errors and facilitate the learning of Portuguese for Vietnamese speakers.
- To contribute additional resources for those interested in the Portuguese language in Vietnam.
