• Most members of the household experienced a change in employment upon moving to the resettlement area.
• Most households are satisfied with their family life in the resettlement area.
• People with lower levels of education experience a decrease in income after relocating to resettlement areas compared to before resettlement.
• Families who were engaged in business before resettlement have a greater need for loans to stabilize their lives than other households.

This study aims to draw lessons learned for application in planning resettlement and livelihood development for households affected in resettlement projects.

• Almost the member of househod changed their jobs when moving to the resettlement areas.
• Most of the respondents were satisfied with the family life in the resettlement areas.
• Income of people with low levels of education was decreased when they moved to the resettlement areas.
• The people who trade before moving to the resettlement areas need to loan to settle down more than the others.
