10. Summary of thesis results:
Vietnam and China are two neighboring countries, mountains connected to mountains, rivers connected to rivers, with many similarities in history, culture and revolutionary ideals. The traditional friendly neighborly relationship of “being both comrades and brothers” was established by President Ho Chi Minh andChairman Mao ZedongThe friendship that was built and cultivated by previous leaders is a priceless asset and has been inherited, built and developed by generations of the people of the two countries. Although the Vietnam - China relationship has gone through many challenges of time, friendship and cooperation are still the main stream. The friendship that was built and cultivated by generations of leaders of the two countries has become a valuable common asset of the two peoples, contributing to maintaining the trend of stable development of the traditional friendship between Vietnam and China, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries.
The research results of the thesis have evaluated and analyzed the factors affecting the relationship and cooperation between Vietnam and China; the reasons why the two countries need to strengthen the relationship; summarized the developments in the Vietnam-China relationship from the normalization (1991) to 2012; analyzed and clarified the current state of cooperation between Vietnam and China in the fields of politics, economics, defense and security from 2012 (when Mr. Xi Jinping began to take office and hold power) to 2024. From there, propose solutions to overcome obstacles and strengthen Vietnam-China cooperation in the above fields, contributing to consolidating and enhancing political trust, promoting comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and China in other fields, creating a healthy and stable development environment for Vietnam-China relations.
In the context of complicated and unpredictable developments in the international and domestic arena, hostile forces at home and abroad are taking advantage of the East Sea issue to incite and sabotage the Vietnam-China solidarity, causing wrong perceptions about the Vietnam-China relationship, proposing solutions to strengthen Vietnam-China cooperation plays a very important role. Once again affirming the correct motto that the two Parties and two States have identified in developing the relationship between the two countries is "friendly neighbors, comprehensive cooperation, long-term stability, looking towards the future" (1999) and the spirit of "good neighbors, good friends, good comrades, good partners" (2005). Strengthening and developing the increasingly stable and healthy Vietnam-China relationship is also an important factor for the development of each country, contributing to peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
11. Practical applicability: The thesis can be used as a basis and research material to further promote bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and China in many other fields such as: culture, science and technology, agriculture, currency, tourism, cooperation on land and sea...
12. Further research directions: Current status and solutions to enhance Vietnam-China cooperation in the next stages (after 2024)
