10. Summary of thesis conclusion:
Firstly, the thesis has contributed to clarifying the basis and characteristics of the Vietnam - Laos relationship; analyzing the content of consolidating and developing the Vietnam - Laos relationship in the new conditions in the fields of politics - diplomacy, national defense - security, economy - culture, education - training, science - technology; pointing out the role of consolidating and developing the Vietnam - Laos relationship in the new conditions including the foreign policies of the two countries; ideology, goals and national interests; achievements of more than 37 years of innovation of the two countries and the world and regional situation.
Second, the thesis has outlined the Vietnam - Laos relationship through the following periods: (1) The period of national liberation struggle from the end of the 19th century to 1975; (2) The period of restoration and healing of war wounds from 1975 to before 1986; (3) The period of renovation from 1986 to present. The thesis has analyzed the results achieved in consolidating and developing the Vietnam - Laos relationship in the new conditions such as the relationship in the political - diplomatic field between the two countries continues to be maintained and developed at a higher level; defense - security cooperation and foreign affairs continue to have new developments, being an important pillar in the relationship between the two countries; building and gradually perfecting the legal corridor for agencies, organizations and individuals to carry out economic relations between the two countries in accordance with the socialist-oriented market economy model; Cooperation in the fields of culture, education, training, and health has been expanded in terms of both scale and form of cooperation; cooperation at the macro, local levels and people's diplomacy has become an effective form of cooperation. In addition, the thesis also points out some limitations in consolidating and developing the Vietnam - Laos relationship in the new conditions such as the Vietnam - Laos relationship has some difficulties in maintaining political - diplomatic relations, defense - security and economic relations; in economic relations, there is also an imbalance between the investment capital flow from Laos to Vietnam compared to the capital flow from Vietnam to Laos; cooperation and exchange in the fields of culture - education and health still lacks synchronization and unity.
Third, the thesis analyzed the requirements for consolidating and developing the Vietnam - Laos relationship in the new conditions and proposed a number of solutions to continue consolidating and developing the Vietnam - Laos relationship in the new conditions, including: (1) Strengthening propaganda and education for cadres, party members and people of the two countries, especially the young generation, on the necessity and important role of continuing to consolidate and develop the Vietnam - Laos relationship in the new conditions; (2) Improving the effectiveness of foreign affairs of the two Parties, two States and people's diplomacy; (3) Improving the effectiveness of comprehensive cooperation in all areas of social life between the two countries; (4) Proactively identifying and resolutely fighting against all plots and tricks of hostile forces aiming to divide the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos in the new conditions; (5) Enhance revolutionary vigilance, regularly exchange information on the situation, and promptly coordinate forces to prevent and overcome plots and tricks to sabotage and divide the solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos.

The thesis can be used as a reference document for studying, researching and teaching related subjects in military academies and schools that train Lao cadres, students and trainees; as a reference document in propaganda and education work to raise awareness for cadres and trainees in schools to grasp the characteristics and situation of Vietnam - Laos relations and the necessity of strengthening and consolidating Vietnam - Laos relations in the current new conditions.

Firstly, the thesis has contributed to clarifying the basis and characteristics of the Vietnam - Laos relationship; Analyze the content of strengthening and developing the relationship between Vietnam and Laos in new conditions in the fields of politics - diplomacy, defense - security, economics - culture, education - training, science - technology, pointing out the role of consolidating and developing the relationship between Vietnam and Laos in new conditions including the foreign policies of the two countries; ideology, goals and national interests, achievements over 37 years of innovation of the two countries and the world and regional situation.
Secondly, the thesis has generalized the relationship between Vietnam and Laos through the following periods: (1) The period of national liberation struggle from the late 19th century to 1975, (2) The period of recovery and healing.
