10. Summary of the thesis results:

This thesis focuses on researching and presenting the following basic results:

In Chapter 1 – an overview of the topic "The Issue of School Culture from the Perspective of Social Criticism in Journalism," the author focuses on addressing some general theories about school culture and social criticism in journalism today. Specifically, the research clarifies the concepts of "culture," "school culture," "criticism," and "social criticism." Based on this, it affirms that journalism plays a crucial role in conducting social criticism on all issues in society, including school culture, which is one of the issues affecting the quality of education and is of great concern to society.

Chapter two, based on scientific arguments linked to practical surveys, examines the content reflected in three newspapers: Vnexpress (online), Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper, and Vietnam Education (online) newspaper from September 2013 to June 2015. Through surveying the content, form, and methods of critique in articles from these three newspapers, the author found that the articles addressed issues of school culture that society is concerned about, such as: the school cultural environment, the behavior of different groups within the school, etiquette, conduct, and uniforms in the school environment. It can be seen that the critique involved all levels of society, and it can be affirmed that the critiques were systematically organized by the newspapers with many in-depth analyses, comments, and suggestions from scientists, journalists, and citizens.

Through surveys and analysis of real-world data, the author points out that the results of the critique of school culture and the language used in social critique in articles from three newspapers are appropriate for critique. However, there are still some limitations that the author has mentioned in the thesis.

In Chapter 3, pointing out the limitations in Chapter 2 will help the author confidently propose solutions to further enhance the effectiveness of critical analysis of school culture in the press, such as solutions related to people's awareness of the importance of social criticism, solutions related to policy mechanisms, and solutions related to the material conditions to further promote the role of social criticism in the press.

The greatest achievement for the thesis author – who holds a managerial role in an educational institution – is that these studies are truly meaningful, providing a foundation and premise for better implementation of issues related to school culture, which are always subject to media scrutiny and commentary.

11. Practical applications:

With this topic, the thesis has made a significant contribution to supplementing and developing the theoretical system of social critique in journalism today. It initially provides a methodological foundation for surveying a form of information in journalism. The research results, stemming from the theory and practice of the thesis, provide a reliable basis for newspaper editorial offices, reporters, and editors in general, and especially those writing for education and school culture, to refer to. Based on this, it helps them to have a deeper understanding of information dissemination, thereby making appropriate adjustments to leverage strengths and overcome limitations, thereby further enhancing the effectiveness of communication.

Furthermore, this thesis also has considerable reference value for school leaders in general, and for lecturers, trainees, and students majoring in journalism at universities, colleges, vocational schools, and journalism training centers.

12. Future research directions:

If circumstances permit, this thesis could also open up many avenues for further research on the issue of social critique: for example, social critique in the press regarding educational reform, and the ethical issues of students.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:

The thesis focuses on studies and some basic findings are as follows:

In Chapter 1 - Overview of the subject “The Issue of School Culture from the View on Social Opposition of Newspapers and Magazines”, the author concentrates on dealing with some general theories of school culture and social opposition of newspapers and magazines at present. In which the study focuses on elucidating the concepts of "culture", "school culture", "opposition" and "social opposition". From that to confirm newspapers and magazines play an important role in realizing social opposition as to every issue in society, in which school culture is one of the issues that can change education quality and concern society.

In Chapter 2 are the scientific bases closely associated with practical survey, the contents of the three electronic newspapers: Vnexpress, Tuoi Tre Online, Vietnam Education Online from September 20134 - June 2015. Through the survey of the opposing content and form of the articles in the three aforesaid newspapers, the author has realized that these articles touch upon the school issues of society's concern, such as the issue of school cultural environment, conduct of groups of members in formal schools, behaviors and uniforms in the school environment… It can be observed that opposition has been involved in by people from all walks of life and it can be confirmed that the issues of opposition should be organized in a systematic manner by newspapers together with in-depth opinions, comments, analyzes, recommendations of scientists or reporters, journalists or the people.

Through surveying, analyzing the practical data, the author highlights the findings of opposition against school culture, the language used in social opposition in the articles of the three newspapers above were conformable to the opposition. However, there still remain some dangers which were included in the thesis.

In Chapter 3, the designation of the limitations in Chapter 2 will assist the author in venturing to propose solutions to further improve the quality of opposition against the issue of school culture in newspapers and magazines such as solutions to human awareness of the importance of social opposition, solutions to policy mechanism, solutions to material conditions and facilities to further bring into play the role of social opposition of newspapers and magazines on social opposition.

The greatest finding of the thesis author, who is playing the role of a manager in an educational institution, is that these are actually significant studies which make bases, premise for better solving the school cultural problems which newspapers and magazines are always interested in and opposed against.

11. Practical applicability:

With this subject, the thesis is of great importance in complementing and developing the theoretical system of social opposition in newspapers and magazines at present; it has initially created methodological bases for conducting survey of a form of information in newspapers and magazines. The findings of studies coming from the theoretical and practical arguments of the thesis will serve as reliable grounds for editorial offices, reporters, journalists, editors in general and reporters, journalists, editors for education and school culture in particular to refer to. Based on that, they will have deeper awareness of information, from there to have reasonable adjustments to bring into play the strengths and overcome the weaknesses to further improve the performance of communication.

In addition, the thesis has a certain value of a reference for leaders of schools in general and teachers, students majoring in newspapers and magazines at universities, colleges, technical secondary schools and training centers in newspapers and magazines in particular.

If conditions permit, from this thesis, there will be numerous directions open for further studies of the issue of social opposition, for example, social opposition on newspapers and magazines against education reform, the problem of students' morality.
