10. Summary of thesis results:
The study aims to describe and evaluate the current status of access to health services of urban poor households, clarify the factors affecting the access to health services of poor households. From there, recommendations are made to adjust or change policies for poor households to improve the quality of life for poor households in Vinh city, as well as to support similar groups. The study clarifies the following contents: (1) The current status of access to health services of urban poor households when they are not sick and when they are sick; (2) Factors affecting access to health services (including medicine services, examination services and treatment services) of poor households. Furthermore, the study aims to compare the level of access to health services of the poor household group with other groups in society to see more clearly the current status of access to health services of the poor household group and propose some solutions to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for the poor.
11. Practical application:
The research results of the topic are the basis for managers and policy makers to have a more realistic view of the current access to health services of the poor. These results can also be used to contribute to reducing inequality and increasing access to health services for the poor in the survey area as well as in similar areas, towards the goal of a rich people, a strong country, a fair, democratic and civilized society.

Expand the research by expanding the research subjects to poor households in rural mountainous areas to more clearly identify socio-demographic factors as well as other factors that have affected the access to health services of poor households.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
Our study tried to describe and assess the reality of accessing medical services in low-income urban population to determine the contributing factors of this fact. Based on these knowledge, policy related adjustments or changes are proposed in order to improve the living standard of low-income households in Vinh city, as well as other similar groups. Our study would clarify the following points: (1) Medical services accessibility among urban low-income households before and after a member gets sick in reality; (2) Factors that contribute to their medical services accessibility (including service, examining service and treating pharmacy service). Moreover, levels of medical services accessing of other social groups are also put in comparison to furtherly understand the reality and to propose some solutions to improve the quality of medical services for low-income people.

This study provides its results as a database for policy makers to have a better view on current medical services accessibility of low-income people. The result may also be used to diminish the inequality and increase the chance of accessing to medical services of low-income people living in the studied area as well as other similar cities to get closer to the target of: wealthy people, strong country, equal, democratic and civilized society.

The prospect of this research is to expand the studied population to those living in the rural and mountainous area to clarify how the social identification and other factors affect the accessibility of low-income households
