Summary of Thesis Results: The emergence of online newspapers has changed the face of the media. This study examines the state of media in Vietnam during the early 20th century. Online journalists, when working in the field of culture and arts, have also experienced many changes and impacts from this type of journalism, altering their behavioral culture. In particular, with their own economic motives, sensationalism, and attention-grabbing tactics, cultural and artistic information on unofficial online news sites has sometimes been overshadowed by purely entertainment information, even cheap entertainment. The thesis "The Behavioral Culture of Online Journalists Towards Cultural and Artistic Information" (a survey of three online newspapers, VnExpress, Vietnamnet, and VnMedia, conducted over two years, 2009-2010) focuses on the following content: 1; General theory on the characteristics of cultural and artistic information from the perspective of online journalists. Through theories on culture, arts and culture, the characteristics of arts and culture information in online newspapers, and an analysis of the target audience of this type of journalism, the author observes that, with the practices of online journalists, arts and culture information in online newspapers is becoming diluted in terms of journalistic style; there is a tendency towards short, concise writing and an overemphasis on entertainment, sensationalism, and attracting readers. 2; The thesis surveyed, compared, and analyzed more than 300 articles on each online newspaper, VnExpress, Vietnamnet, and VnMedia, in terms of both content and form during the two years of 2009-2010 to identify the writing style, cultural behavior, and information handling methods of each author and each newsroom regarding arts and culture information. 3; From the above surveys, the thesis has proposed some experiences, solutions, and models to improve the cultural behavior of online journalists towards arts and culture information. The goal is to find a balance between two trends in online journalism: ensuring the preservation of traditional cultural aspects while also providing entertainment and guidance for readers. 11.
