11. Summary of project results:
This thesis studies and applies cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) combined with mindfulness (sati) to intervene in a case with depressive symptoms through four stages aimed at: (1) stabilizing the mind, (2) reducing symptoms, (3) addressing traumatic factors, and (4) developing life values. The results show that the client significantly improved in mood, reduced negative symptoms, and enhanced mindfulness and self-awareness, while also learning to understand themselves through a contingency plan to cope with the risk of relapse.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) combined with mindfulness (sati) offers a structured approach with the potential for expanded application in mental health support programs, particularly for middle-aged men after divorce in the Vietnamese cultural context, due to its ability to stabilize mental health, reduce depressive symptoms, and develop relapse prevention plans.
