11. Summary of project results:

The thesis researches and applies cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) combined with mindfulness (sati) to intervene in a case with symptoms of depression through 4 stages to: (1) stabilize psychology, (2) reduce symptoms, (3) handle trauma factors, and (4) develop life values. The results show that the client significantly improved his mood, reduced negative symptoms, and enhanced his mindfulness and self-awareness, and learned to understand himself through a backup plan to cope with the risk of depression relapse.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) combined with mindfulness (sati) provides a structured approach with potential for expansion in mental health support programs, especially for middle-aged men after divorce in the Vietnamese cultural context, due to its ability to stabilize psychological well-being, reduce depressive symptoms, and develop relapse prevention plans.
