10. Summary of project results:
This project focuses on providing psychological support to a gay client exhibiting depression and difficulties in self-acceptance. The project outlines the theoretical basis of mental health in LGBTQ+ clients and the impact of social prejudice on the formation of negative emotions. It also details the assessment and intervention process based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) combined with mindfulness and relaxation techniques. Results show that the client experienced a significant reduction in depression and developed a more positive self-image. The client gradually learned to identify and regulate negative thoughts, strengthened self-acceptance, and communicated more openly, thereby significantly improving their emotional state and the quality of their social relationships.
