Summary of the thesis results: The thesis presented several theoretical and practical issues regarding the reportage genre, including: the research situation on the genre, encompassing: the concept of the genre, types of reportage, the narrative "I" in reportage, language in reportage; the conditions and factors for the development of reportage; and the characteristics of Vietnamese reportage through different periods of development. The author also surveyed the basic characteristics of content and form in the newspapers Thanh Nien, Tuoi Tre TPHCM, and Tien Phong during the years 2009-2010. Simultaneously, in the process of analyzing these characteristics, the author compared them with the characteristics of Vietnamese reportage during the periods 1930-1945 and 1945-1975. Based on this, the author concluded on the current state of reportage development in print media as well as the characteristics of the reportage genre in print media today. The author observes that every newspaper recognizes the power of the feature story genre and therefore pays great attention to publishing feature stories, even dedicating an entire page to it. A newspaper's quality is partly determined by the quality of its feature stories. Furthermore, the thesis assesses the current trends and development of the feature story genre and proposes solutions to improve the quality of journalistic feature stories, thereby contributing to the refinement of creative methods and the effective use of modern journalistic feature stories. 11. Summary of the findings of the thesis: The thesis presents some matters on argument and reality on the genre of reportage, the research on genre includes: concept on genre, forms of reportage, description “self” in reportage, languages ​​in reportage; conditions and factors for reportage development; features of Vietnamese reportage through development periods. The writer also surveys the basic features on content and form on newspapers of Thanh Nien, Age of Hochiminh city, Tien Phong in 2 years 2009-2010, concurrently during the process of analyzing the features, the writer also compares with features of Vietnamese reportage in period of 1930-1945, 1945-1975. On that basis, the writer withdraws the development reality of reportage in printing newspapers as well as features of genre of reportage on printing newspapers now. On the other hand, the thesis also assesses the trend of operation and development of genre of reportage in current conditions and solutions on raising the quality of press reportage, through that contributing a small part in completing the creative method, using effectively the genere of reportage of modern press. 12.
