7. Summary of the results of the thesis(Emphasize new results if any)
Most research papers, documents, and articles by various authors primarily focus on social security and social protection. These studies cover a broad scope and address many target groups. The research results consistently demonstrate the crucial role of social protection in the current social development context. However, no author has yet researched a specific aspect of social protection: the monthly allowance policy for people with disabilities. Specific research on this issue is significant both theoretically and practically.
Firstly, this thesis contributes to enriching the theoretical basis regarding people with disabilities. In particular, the thesis delves into the situation of receiving monthly disability allowances in Me Linh district over a five-year period from 2007 to 2012, highlighting the realities of policy implementation, its effectiveness, and the limitations in its execution in the area.
Second, the thesis contributes to clarifying the theoretical basis of psychology and needs of people with disabilities. Thereby, we can see clearly the importance of the system of legal documents and support policies of our state for people with disabilities, especially the monthly subsidy policy. The results of collecting information, data, and interviewing policy implementers on the situation of receiving monthly subsidy policies for people with disabilities show the extremely important role of monthly subsidies. Thereby, we can also see the role of managers, policy implementers, or in other words, social workers in assisting people with disabilities. The role is both a guide, an organizational consultant, a helper, and a resource connector.
In addition, the thesis also contributes to supplementing learning resources and serving as reference materials for social work students on issues related to social assistance policies for people with disabilities in general and monthly social assistance policies for people with disabilities in Me Linh district in particular, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the policy system for beneficiaries.
