On that basis, the author has systematized theoretical and practical issues on customer and tourist satisfaction (concepts, factors affecting satisfaction, overview of research models, the relationship between sustainability and satisfaction, etc.). By using observation methods, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, etc. and using data processing tools: SPSS, Excel, etc., the thesis has shown that French-speaking tourists are satisfied with the destination of Hanoi in terms of direct influence from groups of sustainability factors (GTTB = 3.92) according to the Likert scale. At the same time, the thesis has also pointed out 2 new groups of factors: legal sustainability and environmental behavior; the quality of the natural environment are new variables compared to the original scale. The assessment shows that middle-aged and retired French-speaking tourists are the ones with the highest satisfaction based on the socio-cultural sustainability of the destination. The thesis also proposes directions to increase the satisfaction of French-speaking tourists to Hanoi through sustainability-based solutions, and at the same time proposes solutions to improve the image and quality of the destination.
