The main results of the thesis include:

(1) The thesis builds a theoretical framework and research model on the relationship between work stress and work engagement through stress factors such as: Facing death, conflict with doctors, attitude towards patients, problems with colleagues, problems with supervisors, workload, uncertainty about treatment direction, problems with patients and their families, discrimination, and work engagement factors including: Dedication to work, strength and passion.

(2) The results of the study on the status of stress and work commitment of 263 nurses including 132 males (51.2%) and 131 females (49.8%) with different demographic characteristics of Hospital 103, showed that the stress of nurses was low and work commitment was high.

(3) Correlation analysis showed that there was an inverse relationship between job stress and work engagement of healthcare workers. Regression analysis showed that job stress predicted 8.1% of the change in work engagement.

(4) The thesis also pointed out the mediating role of job satisfaction and depression risk expression in the relationship between stress and work engagement.

Practical applicability: The topic helps managers and the Ministry of Health understand and grasp the relationship between stress and work commitment of medical staff, thereby focusing on improving job satisfaction to reduce the impact of stress on work commitment while having appropriate policies and regimes for medical staff and building mental health prevention programs for medical staff.
