10. Summary of the thesis results:
To date, there has been no specific research on the development of information and library products and services at the Military Medical Academy Library. Therefore, in practice, this research is relevant to the tasks and functions of the Military Medical Academy Library in the orientation of improving the quality of education and training of the Academy in the current period as well as in the future.
This thesis has conducted research on general theories of information and library services, such as: concepts, characteristics, roles, relationships, evaluation criteria, etc. It also studies the characteristics of information users and information needs at the Military Medical Academy; and the characteristics and requirements for information and library services to support training, scientific research, and treatment at the Military Medical Academy.
To assess the current state of information and library services at the Military Medical Academy Library, the author of this thesis conducted a survey of information needs across four user groups at the Academy. Based on this survey, the quality of existing information and library services was evaluated, including: the catalog system using cards, the online public access catalog, bibliographies, databases, the library's website, on-site reading services, home borrowing services, document photocopying services, information retrieval services, and user guidance services.
Through studying the current state of existing information and library services, the thesis also proposed solutions to develop information and library services at the Military Medical Academy Library, such as: specific solutions to improve the quality of existing information and library services; building information and library services with high information value, such as: building thematic bibliographies, organizing inter-library catalogs, building factual databases, and compiling comprehensive reviews; The thesis proposes developing new library information services such as: thematic information services, interlibrary loan services, document translation services, online loan registration services, multimedia services, etc. Simultaneously, it suggests other supporting solutions such as: strengthening information resources, improving infrastructure and equipment, enhancing the skills of library staff, improving the quality of document processing and user training, expanding cooperation with other libraries, and strengthening marketing activities for library products and services.
The development of information and library services at the Military Medical Academy Library is a crucial factor in ensuring improved information service efficiency, enhanced training quality, scientific research, and treatment at the Academy.
11. Practical applications:
With the existing facilities and equipment, the Library of the Military Medical Academy can begin implementing three new service types: multimedia services, online document borrowing services, and information user training services. Simultaneously, it can proceed with building thematic bibliographies to serve the information needs of users at the Academy.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
Up to present, there has not been a specific study on the development of library - information products and services in the Library of Vietnam Medicine Military University. This research is, therefore, eligible for missions, functions of the Library in the improvement of the quality of education and training of the University in the current period as well as in the upcoming time.
The thesis fully points out theorized bases on library - information products and services have been mentioned, including: definitions, features, roles, relationships and assessment criteria. Additionally, users characteristics, information needs, requirements for library - information products and services aimed to serve training, scientific research and treatment at VMMU have also been addressed.
With a view to evaluate the reality of library and information products and services, the author conducted a survey of real demand for news on the group of four people at VMMU. Thereby, the author can assess the quality of existing library and information products and services such as: index of pattern sheets, online public access catalog (OPAC), index, database, webpage, on-the-spot readers service, home loan service, photocopying service, information lookup service, service and news user guidelines;…
On that basis, thesis has also proposed some solutions to develop and improve products and services that meet the information needs of users at University library. For instance, establishing informative products and services: setting up thematic folder, organizing inter-library catalog, building database; developing new library-information services: inter library loan service, translation service, multi-media service. As well, the thesis has provided such additional measures as strengthening information resources, facilities, equipment, broadening knowledge of library-information staffs, improving the quality of processing documents, enhancing the relationship and cooperation with other libraries and promoting marketing of library and information products and services.
Development of library - information products and services at the Library, Vietnam Medicine Military University ensures to improve information service, quality of training and scientific research and treatment effectively.
12. Practical applicability:
Supplied with well-equipped facilities, VMMU is able to implement three new kinds of services: multi-media service, online loan service, user training service. Besides, the Library can set up thematic folders to meet users' needs.
