- This topic is a study with practical significance in contributing to clarifying the objective requirements and historical circumstances leading to the building and fighting process of the revolutionary armed forces in South Vietnam from 1961 to 1965.

- To support the topic, the thesis also researched and recreated the historical context of the years 1954-1960, the conspiracies of the US and the Saigon government, the Party's policies, and the revolutionary situation in the South during the period from 1954 to 1965.

- The thesis has clarified the process of the growing strength and gradual defeat of the US imperialist Special War strategy, thereby demonstrating the inevitable historical development of the revolutionary armed forces that led to the success of the complete liberation of the country and the remarkable growth of the Vietnam People's Army later on.
