The research project has achieved the following results:

- This study delves into the contributions of Do Duc Hieu to literary criticism research and the evolution of his research methodology throughout his career. It examines the achievements and limitations of this researcher in his scientific career during both the periods before and after the Doi Moi (Renovation) period (1986).

-The significant achievements and contributions of Do Duc Hieu to the study of Western literature in general, and French literature in particular, lie in his use of Marxist and sociological methodologies to study the period before the Doi Moi (Renovation) period (1986). These include in-depth scientific research works on French Classical Literature, French Romantic Literature, Paris Commune Literature, Existential Literature, etc., along with many outstanding figures of French literature such as Molière, Victor Hugo, etc.

- Do Duc Hieu's contributions to the application of modern Western poetics to the study of Vietnamese literature in the post-Doi Moi (renovation) period (after 1986). The researcher played a crucial role in paving the way for a new research theory and its application in literary studies in Vietnam.

-The research also highlighted some of the most fundamental aspects of Do Duc Hieu's literary research and criticism style: a creative, scientific style; a refined and emotionally rich writing style; and a harmonious combination of research and criticism.

• To survey the contribution of Do Duc Hieu's career of literary research and criticism and the evolution in his research method during his career. The achievements and disadvantages in his scientific career during two periods: before and after Innovation.
