Through a survey of the current status of management and exploitation of the value of collective trademarks in Can Tho city from July 2006 to December 2021, combined with an analysis of the theoretical basis of the management model to exploit the value of collective trademarks, the thesis has proven the research hypothesis: the current status of collective trademark management in Can Tho city does not have a suitable management model, the collective trademarks after being established have not been used consistently among members, and the exploitation of the value of collective trademarks is not effective.
The thesis has built an organizational and management model for collective trademarks through the construction of a system of documents as a basis for collective trademark management, forming a system of exploiting products bearing collective trademarks to develop the value of collective trademarks after being established, with the following contents: (i) Building an organizational structure, managing collective trademarks focusing on establishing a Collective Trademark Management Board and a number of other functional Boards through the Board's detailed regulations and operation plans; (ii) Building a system of management documents such as regulations on management, use and control of collective trademarks; (iii) Checking product quality such as controlling the quality of products and services bearing collective trademarks; (iv) Training and coaching for registered and unregistered members using collective trademarks and collective trademark management staff; (v) Deploying the development of tools to exploit, develop and promote collective trademarks and promoting market connection activities.
