10. Summary of the thesis results:
This thesis provides an overview of domestic and international studies on satisfaction research. Based on this, the author systematizes the theoretical and practical issues concerning customer and tourist satisfaction (concepts, factors affecting satisfaction, overview of research models, the relationship between sustainability and satisfaction, etc.). Using observation, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and data processing tools such as SPSS and Excel, the thesis demonstrates that French-speaking tourists are directly satisfied with Hanoi as a destination due to the influence of sustainability factors (average value = 3.92) according to the Likert scale. Simultaneously, the thesis identifies two new factors: legal sustainability and environmental behavior; and the quality of the natural environment, which are new variables compared to the original scale. The assessment revealed that middle-aged and retired French-speaking tourists showed the highest satisfaction based on the socio-cultural sustainability of the destination. The thesis also proposed directions to increase the satisfaction of French-speaking tourists visiting Hanoi through sustainability-based solutions, while also suggesting solutions to enhance the image and quality of the destination.
