10. Summary of thesis results:
Based on the author's viewpoints on Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought, the viewpoints, guidelines and policies of our Party and State on religious issues, and combined with survey, fieldwork, participation, interview, comparison and analysis methods, the thesis has initially achieved the following results:
- In chapter 1, the author has presented the most general information about the Mother Goddess worship and the Len Dong ritual of the Vietnamese people in the Northern Delta.
- In chapter 2, the author pointed out and analyzed some major changes of the Len Dong ritual. At the same time, he pointed out the basic causes leading to the changes of the Len Dong ritual and made some recommendations to promote positive changes and limit negative changes of the Len Dong ritual in the Mother Goddess worship of the Vietnamese people in the Northern Delta today.
11. Practical application:
- The thesis will contribute to the study of cultural values of Mother Goddess worship in general and Len Dong ritual of Vietnamese people in the Northern Delta in particular.
- The thesis can be used as a reference in research and teaching at institutions that train subjects related to culture and traditional beliefs in Vietnam.

The influence of Mother Goddess worship on the cultural and spiritual life of Vietnamese people in the Northern Delta today.

The thesis is based on the perspectives of Marxism - Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Ideology, perspectives, guidelines and policies the Vietnamese Communist Party and State about religions. Methodologies applied in the thesis includes survey, fieldwork, participation, interview, comparison and analysis. The thesis has obtained some initial achievements as follows:
- In Chapter 1, the thesis provides a brief introduction of the Mother Goddess Worship in general and “Len Dong” ritual of Vietnamese people in the Northern Delta.
- In Chapter 2, the thesis points out and analyzes some major changes in “Len Dong” ritual. The thesis also demonstrates underlying reasons for such changes in “Len Dong” ritual and gives some recommendations to develop positive changes and limit negative ones in the Mother Goddess Worship in general and “Len Dong” ritual of Vietnamese people in the Red River Delta.
