The author conducted a survey of 2 press agencies in Hai Phong, namely Hai Phong Newspaper and Hai Phong Radio and Television Station; 2 newspapers with representative offices in Hai Phong are Nhan Dan and Lao Dong; 1 newspaper with a permanent reporter in Hai Phong is Vnexpress Electronic Newspaper. The author researched the issue of journalists' access to information in general and journalists' access to information from local authorities in Hai Phong in particular, thereby proposing solutions to improve the quality of journalists' access to information from local authorities in Hai Phong.
