10. Summary of the thesis results:
The trainee worked with the client on three therapeutic outcomes: (1) Reducing depressive symptoms, (2) Improving relationships, and (3) Preventing relapse of depressive symptoms. A cognitive-behavioral therapy approach was chosen as the primary intervention method, employing techniques such as cognitive restructuring, problem-solving, role-playing, modeling, etc. Through therapy effectiveness assessment, the client showed no more depressive symptoms, and relationships improved significantly (with family, friends, and colleagues) through the application of learned communication skills. In addition, the client strengthened coping skills and developed a plan to prevent relapse of depressive symptoms. Overall, the client responded well to the proposed therapy process. To date, the client has improved his quality of life in many aspects and has increased motivation to pursue his life goals.

The therapist worked with the client on three outcome goals, including (1) alleviating depressive symptoms, (2) improving relationships and (3) depressive symptoms relapse prevention. Cognitive behavioral therapy was chosen as the major intervention approach, which includes many techniques like cognitive restructuring, problem solving, role playing, modeling,... Based on the therapy efficency assessment, the client has shown to have no depressive symptoms and to improve relationships (with friends, family and colleagues) currently. Besides, the client has also been reinforced with coping skills and managed to build up a relapse prevention plan. In general, the client has a good adaptation with the therapy procedure. Up till now, he has improved his quality of life on many aspects, and get better at motivating himself to achieve his life goals.
