The main findings of the thesis include:
(1) The thesis builds a theoretical framework and research model on the relationship between work stress and job engagement through stress factors such as: facing death, conflict with doctors, attitude towards patients, problems with colleagues, problems with supervisors, workload, uncertainty about treatment direction, problems with patients and their families, discrimination, and job engagement factors including: dedication to work, strength and passion.
(2) The results of the study on the stress and job engagement of 263 nurses, including 132 men (51.2%) and 131 women (49.8%) with different demographic characteristics of Hospital 103, show that the stress of nurses is low and job engagement is high.
(3) Correlation analysis showed an inverse relationship between job stress and job engagement of healthcare workers. Regression analysis showed that job stress predicted 8.1% of the variation in job engagement.
(4) The thesis also points out the mediating role of job satisfaction and the manifestation of depression risk in the relationship between stress and job engagement.
11. Practical applications: This research helps managers and the Ministry of Health understand the relationship between stress and job engagement among healthcare workers. This will enable them to focus on improving job satisfaction to reduce the impact of stress on job engagement, develop appropriate policies and regulations for healthcare workers, and create mental health prevention programs for healthcare workers.
