10. Summary of the results of the thesis:

The parent-child relationship is crucial for a child's development (Bowlby, 1958; Baumirind, 1971; Rutter & Sroufe, 2000). Based on a synthesis of research literature, the study builds an overview and theoretical framework, clarifying the basic concepts of the topic (parent-child relationship, language development; preschool children) within the field of social psychology. This research delves into the correlation between the parent-child relationship and children's language development. A survey was conducted, including scales measuring parent-child relationships and children's language development (based on the Vineland-II scale, adapted in Vietnam, 2015), along with demographic data and other descriptive characteristics. The survey received 201 responses from parents of preschool children with complete content. The results reveal the reality of parent-child relationships as well as parents' subjective assessments of their children's language development in the study sample. Parent-child relationships and language development in preschool children are directly proportional. This relationship is mediated by mediating variables related to parental time spent with children, the importance of parental conversation time with children, and daily shared meals. These results also provide indicators that form the basis for the study's recommendations to parents regarding dedicating time and improving the quality of time spent on shared activities with their children to facilitate their development, especially in the language area.

11. Practical applications:

Research exploring the parent-child relationship and children's language development has yielded practical results. These results form the basis for recommendations aimed at raising parental awareness and helping them improve parent-child relationships in a positive way, enabling children to develop their language skills to the best of their ability.

12. Future research directions:

The results of the study have laid the foundation for the following promising research directions: (1) longitudinal research, examining the development of children in general and language development in particular in relation to the quality of the parent-child relationship; (2) comparative research between actual results on children's language development (expert assessment) and children's language development (based on parents' subjective perceptions); (3) comparative research between the relationship between children and fathers, the relationship between children and mothers and children's development, especially language development.

10. Summary of the thesis results:

The parent-child relationship is important to a child's development (Bowlby, 1958; Baumirind, 1971; Rutter & Sroufe, 2000). Based on the synthesis of research documents, building an overview and theoretical basis, clarifying the basic concepts (parent-child relationship, language development; preschool children) in the field of social psychology, this study explores the correlation between parent-child relationship and children's language development. A survey of parent-child relationship scales and children's language development scales (based on the Vineland-II scale, adapted in Vietnam, 2015) with demographic description and other characteristics was carried out. The research obtained 201 responses from parents of preschool children with full content. The results show the reality of the parent-child relationship and the children's language development in the sample. There is a proportional correlation between the parent-child relationship and the preschool children's language development. This is moderated by the variables of the time that the parents spend with their children, the importance of parental time to their child and the sharing meals every day. These results provide also indicators for a basis of the recommendations for parents to spend time and improve the quality of time with their children in order to facilitate the child development, especially in the language development.

11.Practical applicability:

This research describes the reality of the parent-child relationship and the child's language development. The results are the basis for making recommendations to raise awareness of parents, to help them improve the appropriate parent-child relationship in a direction in which the language of children develops the best.

12. Further research directions:

The results of this study lay the foundation for further research directions: (1) longitudinal research of the child development in general and their language development in particular with the parent-child relationship; (2) comparative research of the child's language development (expert assessment) and the child's language development (according to the cognitive assessment of the parents); (3) research on the relation of the relationship between the child and the father, between the child and the mother and the child's development, especially their language development.
